Cape Town — Three people are reportedly in custody following the mass shooting in Bishop Lavis, Cape Town, on Thursday night.
Four men and two women – all between the ages of 24 and 55 – died on the scene in Kogelberg Street in Bishop Lavis while a 27-year-old woman died in hospital on Friday. One survivor is still being treated in hospital.
According to News24, Western Cape police chief Thembisile Patekile has confirmed that three people have been arrested and a firearm confiscated.
The mass shooting in Bishop Lavis comes a day after five people were shot dead and five were wounded in Atlantis on Wednesday.
The police’s Anti-Gang Unit is investigating both incidents, reports eNCA.
