Cape Town – EFF MP Fana Mokoena has resigned from Parliament, just four months after being sworn in for the seventh parliament.
EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi confirmed in a social media post that Mokoena has quit.
“Fana Mokoena, founding member and senior leader of the EFF, steps down as MP. It was clear from his Facebook posts that he was leaving the movement,” he wrote.

This marks the second time the internationally acclaimed actor has left his role as an MP, Times Live reported.
Mokoena, who previously served from 2014 to 2020, did not provide comments on his resignation.
Sources say he stepped down earlier this week, just before former public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane also resigned, the report said.
