Cape Town — South Africa’s global superstar, Tyla, continues to grow on the music stage as she was chosen as one of the artists to perform at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The announcement was made earlier this week as Tyla was announced as one of three artists set to perform at the show, alongside Thai rapper, Lalisa, and legendary superstar, Cher.
“The MAJOR musical-talent news keeps on coming. @Tyla will be performing on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show stage next month,” Victoria’s Secret announced on Instagram.

According to Billboard, Tyla was chosen for her “vibrant personality” and “innovative take on pop and R&B”, and she was tipped as an integral part of this year’s entertainment at the show. Tyla said she has always been captivated by the show’s outfits and models and was excited to be performing.
“Now, I’m thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage. What’s even more exciting is the celebration of diversity, showcasing a broader range of beauty, which makes this moment truly special,” she said.
The 2024 show returns after a six-year hiatus, and Tyla will join the likes of Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and so many more to have performed at the global fashion show.
According to The South African, the lineup will feature only female artists for the first time in the show’s history, which marks a significant change for Victoria’s Secret as it attempts to rebrand and embrace a more inclusive image.
