Cape Town — Famous wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, Rachel, has made a heart-warming decision to send her kids to school in South Africa after returning just last week.
Back in Mzansi for a few weeks, Rachel and the little ones are living it up and making the most of their time together.
She has also opted to send them to a local school while they enjoy their break from classes in France.
The Kolisi family made their move to Paris last August when Siya joined the French rugby team, Racing 92.
Taking to Instagram, Rachel shared an adorable snapshot of the kids, all smiles and sporting their new school uniforms on their first day.
“First day of school in SA! Europe has their summer holidays now (8 weeks) So we’re doing a few weeks of school while we’re home ❤️🇿🇦” she captioned the post.

Since its initial upload, rugby fans have eagerly chimed in to share their thoughts on Rachel’s decision to enroll her kids in school during their South African visit. While many applauded her for keeping the little ones engaged during what could have been a long summer vacation, others weren’t completely on board with her choice.
Here’s a taste of the lively debate in the comments section:
@lizzy_yy12: “The kids are probably bored at home and all their SA friends are at school. That might be a fun way to spend their holidays, who knows? There’s a lot of unnecessary Judge Judys here. A lot of other kids go to summer school/holiday school, so what??”
@nagel44: “Travel is good for kids and to have schooling experience in different countries……..what an awesome privilege. I used to do a similar thing when I lived in the UK – my kids loved it”
@slie101: “That’s very interesting approach, I like it. Kids require stimulation so when you travel too much Kids need to be ready for anything, amazing way of teaching adaptability and flexibility 👏”
@akhona_sikwana: “Ncoooooh but they are supposed to be on holiday 😢”
@neilhumby: “How about we all respect Rachel and Siya as the parents and stop judging how they raise these little champions. Enjoy SA school, I hope you have heaps of fun!”
@linese_stefan: “Waarom…hulle moet lekker op vakantie wees…ons woon selfs in nl en ons maak elke dag beste van ons heerlik vakansie” (Why… They must be nice on holiday… We even live in NL and we make the best of our wonderful vacation every day)
