Cape Town – A new video has surfaced showing a man violently assaulting an elderly woman, believed to be his mother, in a kitchen, sparking public outrage.
The video, posted by TV personality Siv Ngesi, shows the woman being punched, slapped, and pushed out of a door.
Ngesi called for the man’s arrest and criticised the person recording the incident.

“While some of us would do anything to just get one kiss or hug from their mother , some are abusing them! Make this man famous and jail him! He needs the community to speak to him! The person recording needs an ass kicking as well!,” he captioned the video.
This comes shortly after a 19-year-old, Luvo Ngqaza, was released on warning after a video of him assaulting his grandmother went viral.

Ngqaza’s case has been postponed to 27 September, and his grandmother has been granted a protection order.
“We will continue supporting the grandmother, and we have sent word that people should stay close and ensure Luvo stays away from the grandmother’s house,” Dambuza said, as quoted by the publication, IOL quoted National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila as saying.
EFF visited police station where Luvo Ngqaza (19) has been arrested.
