Cape Town – J Molley, known off-stage as Jesse Molley, recently lit up social media with explosive claims against fellow rapper Emtee, dubbing him a “lean addict”.
In the now-viral clip, Molley didn’t hold back, alleging that his planned collaboration with Emtee went off the rails due to the latter’s alleged substance use.
Lean, a concoction of prescription cough syrup and soda, has gained traction in the US hip-hop scene and has found its way into South African entertainment circles, according to IOL.
In the video, reshared by MDN News, Molley asserted that he covered the costs for their studio session and even provided food.
“As a stand-up guy, I paid for the studio session, I give them gas money, I buy KFC for them…” Molley recounted.
He didn’t stop there, lambasting Emtee for his alleged lean consumption: “He’s either passed out on the couch or passed out and can’t put his shoe on.”
Molley didn’t mince words about the ordeal, revealing that despite multiple attempts to collaborate, Emtee struggled to contribute even a single verse during three separate studio sessions in one week.

Emtee’s fans weren’t exactly thrilled with the bombshell, and they flooded X with their two cents on the matter. Many felt the digital arena wasn’t the ideal spot to air out such grievances.
Here’s a peek at what they had to say:
Clear proof is a kid, why is he bringing it to social media?
