Cape Town – As Kairo Forbes celebrated her 9th birthday, heartfelt tributes poured in for DJ Zinhle and rapper veteran AKA’s daughter, marking a special milestone amid cherished memories.
Kairo marked her 9th birthday on July 8th, and DJ Zinhle took to Instagram with a touching tribute to her daughter.
In her post, the South African DJ and businesswoman expressed immense pride in Kairo, saying she is the sweetest, most talented girl and a wonderful big sister.
Zinhle also shared a poignant note about AKA, Kairo’s father, who tragically passed away.
“My baby is 9 👑 Happy Birthday @KairoForbes, the sweetest lady baby I know 😜, the best big sister & most talented girl. You surprise me everyday, may God continue to bless you with great health & happiness. I also pray that he continues to guide me and @murdahbongz as we raise the most precious girl. Lynn Forbes joins the birthday festivities
As Kairo celebrated her milestone, the birthday love continued to pour in, this time from AKA’s mother and certified Glammy (Glam Granny), Lynn Forbes.
In a touching tribute shared on social media, Lynn reminisced about the joyous anticipation of becoming a grandmother when AKA and DJ Zinhle shared their plans for parenthood nearly a decade ago. “Watching you grow has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life!” Lynn wrote.
She vividly recalled the excitement of learning about Kairo’s impending arrival, emphasizing how her granddaughter has brought joy into their lives since her birth nine years ago. Lynn celebrated the countless memories they’ve made together and expressed immense pride in the person Kairo is becoming.
“It’s been almost a decade since your dad said to me, “Mom, Zinhle and I are planning to have a baby!” I can clearly remember my excitement at the possibility of becoming a grandmother. A few months later they told me the happy news that your mom was pregnant and I was over the moon! Nine months later, on this day, nine years ago, you were born and our lives changed forever! It was one of the happiest days of our lives and every day since then, you have filled my life with so much joy. We have made countless memories together and raising you brings me so much fulfilment.” she continued.
