Cape Town – Police in Mpumalanga exhumed the body of Bonisiwe Mabuza, 37, who was found murdered and buried in a shallow grave at Luphisa cemetery in Pienaar.
Mabuza had been reported missing last week, with her VW Polo found stripped and items stolen from her home, police spokesperson Colonel Donald Mdhluli said.
A man and a woman were detained, leading to the recovery of stolen items, and a third suspect later surrendered, he said.
“The two were detained as suspects and the third suspect handed himself over to the police [on Monday],” he said.
The three suspects face charges of murder, kidnapping, and house robbery, with a court appearance set for Wednesday.
