Cape Town – Real Housewives of Durban star Jojo Robinson, recently shared a health-scare with fans, detailing her emergency room rush due to kidney complications.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the mother-of-one posted touching pictures of friends gathered by her bedside, including visits from RHOD co-stars Nonku Williams and Ruan Scheepers.
“❤️❤️❤️ When you’re perfectly healthy the next minute, you find out your kindney was near failure . .” she started.
“Long story short, Rushed to the emergency room at 1am with excruciating pain, found out I had a 1.6cm kidney stone blocking my urethra, which ultimately had led to a back log in my kidney where it had all turned to puss in the left kidney..My doctor removed the large stone and placed a stint in the kidney to help save it. I was then told my kidney was a week or 2 away from failure if this didn’t happen.. In 2 weeks I have to have another surgery to remove the stint as well as the other stones still in my kidney..” finished Jojo.

No stranger to surgeries, Jojo opened up in February about her latest trip under the knife, with a graphic reel showcasing a behind-the-scenes visual of the procedure.
She shared details of her brachioplasty surgery to remove excess skin on her arms, highlighting that the procedure was performed by the same expert who handled her tummy tuck two years prior.
“Graphic warning ⚠️ Join me on my arm lift surgery journey. ( aka brachioplasty and excess skin removal and lipo done my sides to be exact) ⚠️Warning on this video. I did add the skin removed in a pic because you guys asked for it. So please don’t go report it. Rather, just don’t watch.” she wrote.
“I’ve been wanting to do this surgery for the longest time, and I finally just pulled the plug and did it. I had the surgery done with the absolute best @drpaulmcgarr ( he had done my tummy tuck 2 years ago) he is one of the nicest people and with a skill set second to none He has the best way about him and is able to make you feel so comfortable throughout the surgery. Also special mention to St Augstines hospital. What an amazing group of people you guys treated me better than any 5 star hotel could have. ( shout out to my girl, Andy)” Jojo continued.
“I’m very sore today, but it’s manageable. It’s safe to say I won’t be doing much this week. I have to wear compression garments for up to 3 weeks, but surprisingly, it’s not that uncomfortable . The surgery was a day procedure, and I was able to leave the same day. Although the ride home was hela uncomfortable, not gonna lie. I’m home safe and just laying in bed all week. Sorry, not sorry. I’ll update you in my stories as the week goes on.. we should hopefully change the dressing on Friday. Also, my boo bear , I love you so much. Thank you for taking such good care of me. Xxx Lots of love Jojo ( aka skinny arm bi#h) Xoxoxox” she finished.
