Cape Town – Eskom has announced that South Africans can expect continued relief from power cuts this winter, as the energy availability factor has reached 64% and is expected to increase further.
The country has already experienced over two months without rolling blackouts.
Eskom’s board chair, Mteto Nyati, credited the new management’s efforts for this improvement.

“Our energy availability factor is sitting at about 64% and it continues to be moving up and up… and that is good because we expect it by April net year to be at 70%… and we are on the right trend to get to that point, Mteto told eNCA.
