Cape Town – Springbok rugby player Handre Pollard and his wife Marise have shared the joy of their son Hunter Andre’s birth with their Instagram followers, offering glimpses of his arrival and their African-inspired nursery.
The couple, currently residing in the UK where Handre plays for the Leicester Tigers, welcomed their first child last month.
Marise posted a heartwarming video on Instagram showcasing their newborn and shared a peek into Hunter’s nursery, adorned with images of African animals and a safari colour palette.
‘The Lord knows the best thing that i’ll ever do is growing up raising you 🧸 One week with our Hunter boy, and man oh man,
we are so in lovE,” Marise captioned the post.

The nursery’s design incorporates elements of their South African heritage, with touches like a Zulu phrase on Hunter’s onesie and wild animal motifs.
Fans expressed admiration for the nursery and welcomed Hunter with warm wishes on social media.
