Cape Town – EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu received his MSc in International Development from the University of London, prompting a mix of praise and criticism on social media.
While some celebrated his achievement, others saw his choice of institution as contradictory to EFF’s values, labeling it as elitist and foreign.
Shivambu expressed gratitude for the honour and highlighted his visit to Karl Marx’s grave.
“It’s an honour to join an illustrious Alumni notably Walter Rodney, a revolutionary Pan Africanist from Guyana and Arkebe Okubay, Africa’s most cogent Proponent of industrialization. The journey was worth it and expanded our understanding of What is to be Done!
