Cape Town — Minister of Electricity, Kgotsientsho Ramokgopa, has escaped unharmed after he was involved in a car accident while travelling from North West to Gauteng following his party’s campaign trail.
In a statement, spokesperson in the Ministry of Electricity Tsakane Khambane said the accident involved the car Ramokgopa was travelling in, along with two protectors, and another vehicle en-route to Gauteng.
“All individuals involved in the accident received prompt medical attention, and after a thorough examination, the Minister has been discharged without hospital admission,” Khambane said.
“The Minister is doing well and has expressed his heartfelt and sincere wishes for a speedy and optimal recovery to those injured in the accident. He also sends best wishes to all individuals affected by the incident,” Khambane added.
Khambane said the current electricity Minister is recovering and “doing well” and Ramokgopa conveyed his heartfelt and sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to all people involved in the car crash.
