Cape Town — Four people were reported dead on the scene of a tragic car crash in Ulundi in Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN) as inclement weather continues to wreak havoc across the country, with KZN experiencing particularly wet weather this past weekend.
According to Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service, paramedics responded to an accident between two cars on the R66 in Ulundi. Upon arrival, they found the two cars had collided in a head-on collision and upon assessment, found that two patients sustained critical injuries, Arrive Alive said.
“The patients were treated and stabilized on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment. Sadly 4 occupants had sustained fatal injuries and had succumbed to their injuries before emergency services could arrive.” they said.

According to IOL, two trucks were involved in another incident when they collided, causing severe traffic on the N3 Van Reenen Pass. The N3 Toll Concession said wet weather and poor visibility also contributed to the traffic delays. ALS Paramedics Garrith Jamieson said they had already attended to multiple accidents.
“Paramedics would like to suggest motorists leave earlier to reach their destinations on time without speeding. Please also ensure your vehicles tyres and windscreen wipers are in a good condition.” he said.
