Cape Town – Food Lover’s Market is inviting ambitious social entrepreneurs to join its list of suppliers, as part of its fourth Seeds of Change Supplier Development Partnership.
According to BizCommunity, Terri Coppin-Harris, Food Lover’s Market communications manager, emphasises the brand is searching for mall businesses that not only deliver top-quality products but also champion social change.
“Our quest to find exceptional small businesses that champion social change while delivering top-quality products is a campaign close to our hearts at Food Lover’s Market,” says Croppin-Harris.
The company describes the Seeds of Change partnership as “an invitation to join a dynamic ecosystem that nurtures socially conscious entrepreneurs”.
It will prioritise applications from businesses that enhance the Food Lover’s Market shopping experience, including smallholder farmers, freight businesses, commercial services, as well as produce and products within in-store departments such as baked goods, confectionery, groceries and liquor.
In 2023, Neighbour Roots emerged as the first fresh produce winner in the initative.
To qualify for consideration, businesses must be at least one year old and demonstrate a sustained track record; they must be financially stable; and they must have a business plan highlighting their vision, goals and potential for growth.
The application process for the Seeds of Change Supplier Development Partnership closes on 8 April, and then the top 30 candidates will be shortlisted for a comprehensive online workshop. For the chosen top 10, an immersive boot camp awaits in Cape Town, where they’ll refine their business acumen and engage directly with Food Lover’s Market executives.
