Cape Town – Siya Kolisi, the captain of the Springboks, has celebrated Bafana Bafana’s victory in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) and their advancement to the quarterfinals.
In a playful Instagram clip, Kolisi teased his kids for not recognising a local Kwaito and soccer track, TKZee’s Shibobo.
The song, released in 1998, was associated with retired soccer star Benni McCarthy and celebrated South Africa’s 1996 Afcon title and their World Cup stint in 1998.
Kolisi expressed excitement over Bafana Bafana’s win and showcased his dance moves, playfully noting that the younger generation may not be familiar with the song.
