Cape Town – South Africa has accused Israel of committing crimes against humanity on Palestinians and is presenting its case at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The hearings started with South Africa arguing that Israel has a genocidal intent against Palestinians in Gaza, asserting that the military attack targets not just Hamas but is embedded in the fabric of Palestinian life.
South Africa is seeking an emergency suspension of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
The proceedings are part of a two-day public hearing.
