Cape Town – Police in The Bloemfontein were alerted to two separate incidents in Caleb Motshabi, leading to the discovery of three murdered women on Sunday.
In the first case, the Kopanong police received a tip-off about a body wrapped in cellotape inside a shack.
Upon investigation, they found the body of Sinah Bantjies, a 34-year-old female, in a pit toilet.
“Members rushed to the address and on arrival they found the shack locked, but drag marks were spotted leading to the pit toilet. Upon inspecting the pit toilet, they discovered the body of a 34-year-old female who was identified as Sinah Bantjies, wrapped in cellotape and covered in mud,” said the police.
A 43-year-old suspect fled the scene and will appear in court.
In the second incident, police received a call about two bodies in a shack, and upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of Sarah Sentlholo (91) and her daughter Rebecca Moyetsane (66).
Preliminary postmortem results revealed that Sentlholo died of poisoning, while Moyetsane was strangled to death.
Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
