Cape Town — South Africa’s Miss Universe representative, Bryoni Govender, is ready to make her bow at the Miss Universe pageant, taking place in El Salvador this weekend.
The beauty queen took to her Instagram Story to reveal that she feels fully prepared for the pageant, and is ready to take on Miss Universe on Saturday.
According to The South African, the Miss SA runner-up has been labelled as one of the front runners at the Miss Universe pageant.
This year’s edition will be the 72nd Miss Universe pageant and Miss Universe 2022, R’Bonney Gabriel from the US, will crown her successor at the end of the pageant.
For the first time, the Miss Universe Organisation allowed married women and mothers to compete in the international pageant. Rikkie Kollé of the Netherlands and Marina Machete of Portugal are the second and third transgender entrants to compete at Miss Universe, while Camila Avella of Colombia and Michelle Cohn of Guatemala are the first married women and mothers to compete.
A host of countries will either be returning to the pageant or be competing for the first time. Pakistan will be first time competitors while Denmark, Egypt, Guyana, Hungary, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Mongolia, Norway and Zimbabwe to the competition.
