Cape Town — Springboks fans could not contain their excitement after star flyhalf, Handre Pollard, and his wife, Marise Pollard, announced their pregnancy.
Amidst the excitement of the Springboks’ historic Rugby World Cup victory over New Zealand a few weeks ago, the team have been celebrating in style with some players rocking crazy hairstyles as the team embarked on their trophy parade.
However, many of the other players had other reasons to celebrate as some players received cars, and spending extra time with their families after the gruelling World Cup.
However, Handre Pollard had a different idea of how to celebrate as he and his wife announced that they will be expecting a new addition to the family.
“The biggest blessing of them all joining us April ‘24 🐥 Thank you Jesus for trusting us with this little life. 🤍 ”

Pollard had initially missed out on the World Cup squad but he was called up as an injury replacement for hooker, Malcolm Marx, and he proved crucial to the team in the latter stages as his kicking ability helped push the team over the line during crucial moments.
Many fans were quick to take to the comments section, pointing out that Pollard doesn’t miss, whether on or off the field, and others saying Marise should prepare for a lot of kicking from the new baby.
“One thing Handré will do is score 😭👏🔥😂,” @ikho.kw said.
“I hear the baby’s already kicking,” @_makorii_ added.
“You just know this baby is going to be kicking like crazy 😭🤣 congratulations! ❤️❤️,” @nasreen_petersen commented.
“Bless!!! So excited 🤍😍,” @layla_kolbe wrote.
