Cape Town — South African rising star, Tyla, has earned another feather in her cap after pop icon Janet Jackson was seen dancing to her hit song, Water.
In a video that started trending on X that was originally on Janet’s Instagram story, she tagged Tyla in the video as she was vibing to the song at an event, which turned out to be a close friends of hers wedding.
Tyla responded to the video, simply saying “Legend!”

Tyla’s rise has been meteoric over the last few months, as she’s earned international praise from the likes of Ciara, Chris Brown and now, Janet Jackson, The South African reported.
The huge success of Water has also led to multip;e intenrational honours and recognition, She became the first South Africann solo artists to enter the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 55 years since Hugh Masekela did it.
She also gave a performance of her hit song on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and collaborated with RnB sensation Summer Walker on her Girls Need Love remix. She also received her first nomination of the BET Soul Train Awards under the category of Best New Artist.
