Cape Town — South African comedian, Trevor Noah, is gearing up for the start of his brand new podcast, What Now? that is set to launch next week on Spotify.
Following his departure from the Daily Show in December last year, Trevor has been mixing things up, making a return to comedy, and announcing that he is starting a brand new podcast, in partnership with Spotify, that will be launched on 9 November.
Spotify uploaded a video to their Instagram account, saying Trevor’s master storytelling will be brought to the forefront during the podcast, and that he wants to connect people and ideas together.
“My passion and my joy has always been connecting people and connecting ideas. On the podcast that’s what I’m going to be doing, finding a story, finding a person, finding a world and then trying to thread those things together. Not in a way that’s reactive, not in a way that’s specifically tied to what people think of as news but rather cultural moments, ideas that give us a better understanding of the world we live”, he said..

Acording to The South African, Trevor will be interviewing a plethora of guests, CEO’s and industry entertainers. He will also be producing his podcast having a more hands on approach with the type of content shared.
“It’s really exciting to be joining Spotify on a fun new adventure where we’ll engage in interesting and meaningful conversations with some of the world’s most fascinating people”, Trevor shared.
Spotify also noted that they were proud of their new collaboration with Noah who often combines topical discussions in a palatable manner through humour and insightful commentary.
