Johannesburg — South African rapper Nadia Nakai has spoken out against Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy and his “Dead Agenda” comments after he postponed his South African show.
Burna Boy revealed on his Instagram story that his concert, which was scheduled for 23 September at FNB Stadium, has now been postponed to 16 December.
“I was in SA last year and I had 100 000 of the most beautiful South Africans outside for me, so no dead agenda. I will see you again real soon South Africa. I love you,” he wrote.
In response to Burna Boy’s story, SA rapper Nadia Nakai took issue with his “dead agenda” comments and addressed it in an Instagram story of her own, which has since been deleted, TimesLIVE reported.
“Am I being sensitive? What does he mean by dead agenda?” she asked.

A further twist in the tale came when the show was later cancelled, leaving many fans frustrated at the news. However, it was reported that Sedote Nwachukwu, CEO of Ternary Media Group, the organisers of the show, has been accused of stealing R10m from the company.
“Ternary Media spokesperson Kymoni Jackson responded that the reason for the cancellation was the alleged R10m theft, not poor ticket sales.
“We are willing to refund people, but tickets are still valid for the next show. Burna Boy was excited to come [to SA] but we had to deal with this internal issue first,” Jackson said.
