Cape Town — Renowned South African musician DJ Black Coffee has announced the opening acts for his Madison Square Garden gig set for 7 October.
Black Coffee will make history as the first South African to headline a show at the iconic MSG . He recently announced his opening acts and said each performer has played a significant role in his music career and he wanted them to experience the MSG with him.
The list of opening acts include Bucie, Maxine Ashley, Monique Bingham, Msaki, and Portia Monique, among many others who will be backed up by a 12-piece orchestra.

Black Coffee has since been performing regularly at his Hi Ibiza gig in Spain, building up to this event. Black Coffee’s sought-after Saturday residency at the club on the Spanish island, hosts him annually from around May to end of September. His last show in Ibiza will take place just seven days before he headlines at Madison Square Garden, The Citizen said.
“Continuing his ground-breaking Saturday night residency in the Theatre, Global house innovator, Black Coffee, will fill the futuristic room with his refined Afropolitan house, immersive production, and unexpected special guests.”
Black Coffee also said that some of the opening acts will also join him for an ultimate send-off party on the 28th of September at an undisclosed Joburg venue.
