Cape Town – Barry Steenkamp, the father of the slain model Reeva Steenkamp, has died.
He passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 80, said a foundation set up to honour his daughter.
He had been in poor health for some time and had suffered a stroke during Oscar Pistorius’s trial for shooting Reeva on Valentine’s Day in 2013.
Following the news of his death, social media has been awash with messages of condolences:
