Cape Town — South African rapper Cassper Nyovest finally announced that his album Solomon will be released on 23 September and revealed that fellow rapper Nasty C will feature in some way on the album.
The two are currently on their African Throne Tour which kicked off on September 1.
Both rappers are currently preparing to drop new albums.
During a press conference in Botswana, the two gave an insight into what fans can expect from them with their respective albums and the tour.
Cassper said that he has a strong relationship with Nasty and that it was both their teams’ ideas for them to tour together. He confirmed that Nasty does feature on his album, but not in the way fans would expect.
“I don’t know if I should say it but there’s a Nasty feature on the album but you kinda have to know his voice to hear. But he contributed to the album. I asked him to do something on the album and he was an artist enough to do it because there’s like a certain paintbrush that I needed and he did it for me,” Cassper said.
This tour is a testament to the vibrant tapestry of sounds and rhythms that Africa has gifted to the world. We’re thrilled to bring this celebration to every corner of the globe and share the magic of our music,” said Cassper.
According to TimesLIVE, Nasty C said the secret to establishing himself on a global stage lay in forming lifelong relationships in the industry.
He said it’s been an amazing journey and he’s been patient with all of it. He praised the people he’s worked with and said he’s been happy to achieve things he thought he would only accomplish later in his career.
The tour kicked off in Eswatini and moved to Kenya and Mozambique. They recently performed in Bostwana and Zambia, where Nasty C ran into some trouble with a fan who jumped on stage. In a quick reaction, Nasty shoved and punched the fan off him, causing big reactions from social media. It appears as if the tour has continued with their next performance scheduled for 23 September in Rwanda.
