Cape Town – The Western Cape police are investigating a murder case in Lwandle after an unidentified man’s body was discovered in the Polile informal settlement in Lwandle on Tuesday evening.
The victim’s body was found with a plastic bag over his head and his hands tied up, News24 reported.
Paramedics declared the victim deceased at the scene, and the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
The Lwandle Community Policing Forum has expressed concern over this gruesome discovery and urged residents to report criminal activities in the area.
“We are quite disturbed that a body was found dumped in such conditions. Unfortunately we don’t know the identity of the man and we call on residents to alert the police or the CPF if they see such criminality taking place in the area,” the reported quoted Lwandle Community Policing Forum (CPF) chairperson Siyabonga Macaula as saying.
This incident marks the first body found in the area this year, following several similar cases in the previous year.
