Cape Town — South African actress Pearl Thusi finds herself in the headlines for many different reasons and this time she was trending for videos she posted to social media.
Pearl is never one to shy away from the spotlight. The star gets her fair share of criticism for what she does but she continues and isn’t afraid to hit back at her critics.
Her latest headline saw her take to her Instagram timeline and reach out to her followers to help her choose the best video to upload for a challenge.
She posted 10 videos of herself in a bikini enjoying the sunshine poolside while she was twerking and dancing and having fun.
“I need help choosing the one that should become my reel for the challenge. Comment with the frame number! Please and thank you!”

The post has caused some controversy amongst the Mzansi public.
In June this year, she appeared at Rich Mnisi’s Adidas party wearing a sheer jumpsuit that showed off her nipples. In response, Pearl said it’s nothing new for people after she had posed nude for Marie Claire.
“Also – y’all need to stop acting like y’all ain’t see my ladies in my movies already. Nothing new happening here. I even did the Marie Claire naked what what twice.”
Last month, Pearl was also criticised for attending an exclusive dinner in Zimbabwe alongside some of their top government officials. Pearl said she was only made aware of the dinner when she arrived, and her reason for going was to show off Zimbabwe’s tourism
“The reason I came to Zimbabwe. To show the world how beautiful it is. Come to Zimbabwe and experience it’s magic. Experience the power in Zimbabwe and spread the word.”
