Cape Town – South African comedian Trevor Noah might be more normal than we think as the star recently admitted he doesn’t do well at making new friends.
In an interview for Hustlers N The Hood with Jay Shetty, the comedian said that, despite his popularity and fame, he finds making friends difficult.
While socialising with many different people as a comedian comes easily to him, making friends is not as simple as it seems, he said.
“I’m terrible at making friends, partially because I don’t trust people easily. I exist in a world where I can be friendly with many people but… It takes me a while to accept that this person is actually a part of my life,” he said.

“I have an idea of putting something on that person where I may need them means that they may disappoint me, and then on the other side of it, them needing me means I could be in a position to disappoint them,” he explained.
“It’s always situational for me, that’s what I call a friend is that I know how you are in most situations; that for me it is the definition of a friend,” Noah concluded.
Trevor is often surrounded by some of the biggest names in the entertainment and sports industry. He has been spotted with American rapper Busta Rhymes, as well as football stars Didier Drogba, David Beckham and Thierry Henry, The South African reported.
Since leaving the Daily Show, Trevor has stayed busy and has announced that he will be doing a comedy tour in SA in September, as well as exciting announcements such as a new podcast and releasing a second book.
