Cape Town — Siya Kolisi was spotted on an airplane and two fans were very keen to ask for a picture with the Springbok captain – except that it wasn’t Siya Kolisi.
Advertising head Velokuhle Ngubane was spotted on a flight from George and he admitted that when the two ladies mistook him for the Springbok captain, he said he decided to play along and even sign an autograph for them.
“These lovely ladies mistook me for @SiyaKolisi on a flight from George, I made the mistake of playing along… even signed an autograph… didn’t even know I’m supposed to be in France and my wife is Rachel. I just broke their hearts by telling them… I just make di adverts,” he said.

According to The Citizen, Ngubane is a founder of one of the biggest ad agencies in the country, AVATAR. The company offers traditional advertising, digital advertising, public relations, B2B consulting and media.
The Kolisi family are currently gearing up for a move to France after Siya secured a transfer to French club Racing 92.
“Officially our last month in SA before our move to Paris, France. 😭 I’m so grateful for the opportunity and experience, but in the same breath devastated because I love SA with my whole heart. And I love living here.”
