Cape Town – A powerful cold front is expected to hit Gauteng, South Africa, causing temperatures to drop significantly.
Gauteng Weather, a regional forecaster, shared the details on social media, stating that single-digit daytime temperatures are possible for most of the province on Monday.
“Breaking: powerful cold front with sub-polar air to hit Gauteng late on Sunday. Single-digit daytime temperatures possible for most of the province on Monday,” it tweeted.
The province has already experienced freezing temperatures in some areas.

Emergency services are on high alert, urging residents to take precautions against the freezing conditions and ensure that heating devices are well maintained.
Snowfall is also forecasted in parts of South Africa and Lesotho, including Gauteng, over the weekend and into Monday. However, the forecast is subject to change, and the actual occurrence of snow may vary.
