Cape Town — “When in Rome, do as the Romans do” – and that’s exactly what South African music star Zakes Bantwini did when he rocked a kilt while in Scotland.
Zakes has been living his best life lately.
The star recently decided to explore different countries and headed to Scotland. He definitely embraced the culture there, as he kitted up in a pink kilt and posed for some snaps alongside a Scottish bagpipe player.
While he looked good as he paired the kilt with a green jersey and green boots, he had to defend his outfit decision, as some had negative comments to make.
“The Scottish Zulu Man 🏴 🇿🇦,” he wrote.

According to The South African, one troll — who deleted the comment — called Zakes out for his look and he responded maturely to deal with the hater.
“No my brother/sister, do not resort to inappropriate talk, the way you speak shows some prejudice. Travelling opens up the mind and provides knowledge about other cultures. Here I am rocking Scottish attire bro, don’t give the world the wrong impression of us,” he said.
The local hitmaker recently celebrated his birthday with a lavish bash and unveiled a luxury Mercedes Benz. Last weekend he celebrated turning 43 with a star-studded birthday party that included guests like Boity Thulo, Pearl Thusi and rapper KO.
