Cape Town – The grieving family of Warren Rhoode, the son of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s head of security, Wally Rhoode, has offered a reward of R50 000 for information about his murder, a report says.
Warren 30, was found dead with multiple stab wounds under mysterious circumstances.
“Rhoode’s body was discovered on 22 April 2023 at around 20:20 close to Sandelhout Street, Thubelitsha in Delft with multiple stab wounds.
“His vehicle, a black VW Polo which he was driving at around the time of his death is still missing, and it is suspected that he was killed during a robbery, possibly in the Delft area,” police spokesperson André Traut said.

Naftal Zandamela, a Mozambican national, was arrested earlier this month in connection with the murder.
However, the Rhoode family suspects that there is more to Warren’s death than what has been revealed, and they have begun their own investigation, News24 reported.
They believe that Warren’s Google Maps tracking data was deleted.

The family is urging the police to provide more information and is seeking eyewitness accounts or any other information that could shed light on the case.
“We are just pleading for more information, eyewitness [information] or anything really, just to tell us if there was anyone else involved,” the report quoted one family member, Quinton Rhoode, as saying.
One theory is that Warren may have been involved in a robbery gone wrong or may have been targeted by someone he knew.
Zandamela appeared in court, where it was disclosed that he had multiple pending cases and outstanding warrants.
It was also revealed that he was on parole at the time of the alleged murder, having previously been imprisoned for house robbery.
Zandamela’s girlfriend was found in possession of Warren’s cellphone, claiming that she had received it from him.
The case has been postponed for further investigation.
