Meanwhile, Zanda Moyo, 31, has emerged as the ninth accused in the Bester prison break case.
He faces charges of violating a dead body, aiding an inmate in escaping, and committing fraud.
Following his arrest in Johannesburg on Sunday, Moyo made a brief appearance in the Bloemfontein Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
According to allegations, Moyo and Bester’s partner, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, conspired to falsely claim that the unclaimed and unidentified body at the Bloemfontein mortuary belonged to Moyo’s brother, Themba Ndlovu.
However, subsequent investigations revealed that the body was actually that of Katlego Bereng.
