Cape Town – Protest action in the Diepkloof interchange area, south of Johannesburg, has prompted authorities to advise motorists to avoid the N1 north and N12 east split.
The protest stems from residents of Diepkloof Hostel in Soweto demanding basic services.
Although there have been no reports of injuries, the situation remains tense.
