Cape Town – A shooting incident occurred near the Wynberg magistrate’s court on Thursday last week, resulting in the death of a woman.
CCTV footage of the incident has been circulating on social media.
According to EWN, the woman believed to be a witness in a case was shot and killed near the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court by unknown gunmen.
The shooting took place on Church Street around 10:45 am.
A man followed the woman as she left the court and headed towards the main road, shooting her twice in the head before running away, according to a video uploaded on Wednesday, May 31, by CrimeInSA through Twitter.
Medical personnel declared her dead at the scene.
According to Shamila Nicholas of the Wynberg CPF, the case dates back to 2018, Times Live reported.
Ward councillor Emile Langenhoven expressed shock over the incident, the report said.
