Cape Town — South African media personality Dineo Ranaka, who has been struggling with mental health lately, has reportedly been admitted to a mental wellness clinic.
Dineo recently admitted on her social media account that she understands why people commit suicide.
“I COMPLETELY understand souls/spirits/people that commit suicide. I get it. I get them. So f*****g hard and I’m trying my best but it seems my best is not enough,” she said.

Dineo received support from DJ Sbu, who sent her a message of encouragement and added that all those who reach out for help need to be heard and supported.
ZiMoja reported that a close friend of the Ranaka family, who chose to stay anonymous, revealed that Dineo was admitted to a private wellness centre in Pretoria.
“She appreciates all the messages she has received from everyone. She hasn’t been able to respond to everyone, but she is fighting,” the report quoted the friend as saying.
“She is really fighting. She is in Pretoria at the clinic from today. She will be okay, Dineo is a fighter; everyone knows that.”
Meanwhile, the Kaya 959 family “is keeping Dineo in their hearts and we wish her healing. We also ask for privacy as Dineo gets through this difficult time”, the station’s Colleen Louw wrote.
