Cape Town — South African amputee dancer Musa Motha wowed the audience with his powerful performance during his audition on Britain’s Got Talent this week.
Musa is an amputee dancer from Sebokeng.
He recently moved to London where he auditioned for the latest season of the show, and did something that’s never been seen before.
According to News24, he was diagnosed with cancer at a young age which led to his left leg being amputated and stifled his dreams of becoming a football player.
After my amputation I fell in love with music. My friends were dancing at that time and I asked them to teach me how to dance,” he told the judges.
Musa took to the stage on his crutches and after introducing himself, did an awe-inspiring performance which had the audience and judges hooked from the jump.
At the end of his performance, the crowd demanded a golden buzzer for him.
The judges then made the decision to unanimously press the golden buzzer together, letting the golden confetti rain down on Musa, who fell to the ground in tears.
The judges all approached him on stage and celebrated with him, as the applause showed no signs of letting up.
Judge Simon Cowell said: “This is one of the most amazing things I’ve seen in my life. Look at that. I’ve never-ever heard a reaction like that in my life.”
Speaking after his performance, an overwhelmed Musa told the crowd: “I’m the true believer and a true example of breaking down the impossible into ‘I am possible’, thank you very much,” he said.
